Accessible Racing & Wounded Warriors on NASCAR Race Hub, SPEED TV 11-10-11

Accessible Racing & VXP The Next Generation of drivers education and gaming, is developing a strategic plan with Savannah College of Art & Design & Sonalysts Corp. SCAD, a world leader in Industrial Design, proposed a class project that Designs business strategy plan. Phasse II will redesign and engineer VXP driving simulator hardware to be tested in hospitals and rehabilitation facilities by Dr's, Occupational and Recreational Therapist to identify Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Trends. Strategic business plan, scope of work, collaboration of departments to redesign and develop VXP The Next Generation hardware with NEW features including horizontal wheel for quadriplegics, joy stick for amputees that address all levels of disabilities, including a strategic outline; scope of work, time line and deliverables.

SCAD outlined the Strategy referencing the Ronald McDonald House as our Accessible Racing and VXP as McDonalds cheeseburgers that need to sell to sustain the non profit house. Also stressed we did not want to build a boat and then have to build a body of water, said they could build the VXP Next Generation, but wanted to identify and map out strategic process so we could attract funding for phase 2, 3 4 long term relationship. Current strategic partners and clients include, but are not limited to; Disney, Remington, Red Bull, Sony and several other world leaders in business. Their attraction to this project is benefit to students that can either work on class projects with fortune 500 companies, or develop entrepreneurial skills with a start up company like Accessible Racing & VXP that introduce our product and strategic plan with technology, that could potentially change the world.

SONALYSTS DoD contractor, in Waterbury Ct., developed software training program for the NAVY, for the past 25 years every submariner has trained on Sonalysts software. Accessible Racing and VXP The Next Generation's questions to Sonalysts: If Sonalysts can teach submariners, why couldn't they develop a drivers education program that newly injured Vets or civilians could use in the hospital. If it works for disabled persons, why couldn't it work for able body and change the face of drivers education model as it is known today?
In addition to reversing the curse, newly injured typically make a mental list of things they can no longer do, Accessible Racing/VXP drivers education on line model would start developing muscle memory in the virtual world that could easily transition to real world applications.

Accessible Racing& Disabled Vets featured on NASCAR Hub 11-10-11 -SPEED TV

Accessible Racing & VXP online competition develop therapeutic and recreational benefits in VA hospitals & Rahab facilities with a bold message!

ACCESSIBLE RACING, the Worlds FIRST 'Arrive & Drive' stock car experience has developed new technology, customized with state of the art gaming equipment specially designed with hand controls suited for several types of injury related challenges. Brian Hanaford explains, "We have a meeting schedule Nov 3 with one of the world's leading Industrial design schools to discuss redesign and engineering VXP driving Simulator. VXP is the brain child of Lee Perry, Driving Aids Development Corporation aka D.A.D.C. VXP The Next Generation will include much needed external funding in addition to a horizontal wheel for quadriplegics, joy stick for amputees, 100% legal properties and working drawings to go into production.External funding to redesign, bring it to market, lobby government to give Drs authority to prescribe as medical benefit and insurance/medicaid approval.State Lottery's typically donate to educational programs, we surely have positioned ourself well with every state lottery"

ACCESSIBLE RACING knows that not all of war heroes are prepared to get behind the wheel of the family vehicle as their first driving experience.  With that in mind, our program goes beyond the standard physical therapy and provides the experience (through a fun and exciting venue) to continue until the confidence, dexterity, and skill to take the wheel has returned.  All the while, our program is also providing the real world skills required to take the family auto to the corner store or pick the kids up at soccer. Hanaford continues, "Phase II of development began with a conversation with Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce. I was researching Veteran friendly companies to help with sponsorship of UNOH North South Shootout at Thompson Motor Speedway. It was a GOD send to discover a D.o.D contractor that has designed software for the NAVY that every Submariner has trained on for the past 25 years. November 8 we begin preliminary discussions on development of a drivers education program that newly injured will be able to employ while their still in the hospital. This would improve quality of life immediately, rather then making the mental list of things one will longer be able to do, its our hope persons can immediately focus on what needs to be learned to do differently. If this works for disabled persons, i believe it will work for able body persons and change the face of drivers education as it is known today. ACCESSIBLE RACING's motto is to break down barriers and create opportunities, in this case -developing virtual world driving skills that transition seamlessly to real world applications."

Independently ACCESSIBLE RACING and (The ORGANIZATION TBA) are inarguably two of the most beneficial and meaningful resources to our nation's finest. However, when combined the benefits are more than the sum of two parts. We can offer far more to our veterans as a unit than we can as separate entities. No question. And as we share these common goals: to serve, to aid, and to enhance the lives of those who have served to enhance and protect ours... it seems only a disservice to our wounded soldiers if we don’t take advantage of this opportunity.

We are honored to have as a board member Mr. Dave Baskin, who has a wealth of experience in the development and operation of sport and recreation programs for people with a variety of disabilities. Baskin is a past sport chairman of the International Paralympics Committee and founder of the National Rifle Association's Disabled Shooting Services department which serves thousands of disabled sportsman annually. In 1992, Baskin developed a sports league to serve patients at several V.A. hospitals in the greater New York City area, with the support of progressive American Legion posts. This successful competition league through the experience and leadership of Baskin, has laid the foundation for disabled veterans and civilians to compete in ACCESSIBLE RACING's on line leagues featuring the world's only VXP hand control driving simulator. Regional competitions will qualify competitors for the national championships and a chance to win a dream race weekend that will include an actual race car driving experience on road course or oval track pit tour at a NASCAR race and autographs from some of NASCAR's biggest stars. It will provide excellent way in which to increase membership and sustain it over time through participation in this exciting program building competitive leagues on a nationwide level.

ACCESSIBLE RACING networks of competition will build a 'buzz' for a GREAT cause throughout America and will build excitement and interest at  NASCAR race tracks, in line with 3 day bike ride for aids and 3 day walk for breast cancer. The major therapeutic benefits will feature the development of virtual world driving skills that seamlessly transition to real world applications. In addition to shared activity and incentive packages, ........ ...... will advertise a Veteran Friendly fund raising  program to help reintegrate able body and disabled soldiers into society. We will organize and administer the Tour consisting of an Indy 500, World 600 and 24 hours at Lemans in the on-line gaming competition.
ACCESSIBLE RACING and VXP driving simulator powered by iRacing is a turn key package  for little or no money out of pocket, just a couple phone calls for sponsorship.
ACCESSIBLE RACING is helping organizations bring their peer to peer fundraising events online with a group that has helped run over 31,000 events for clients from December of 2000 to today.  The group has raised over one billion dollars, coming from 14 million participants and over 25 million donors.
ACCESSIBLE RACING will launch a three day racing event (Indy 500, World 600, 24 hrs at Lemans) online, allowing individuals to easily create their own pages and email their friends to ask for support.

Accessible Racing covers the costs to design, launch and support the web pages.  This cost also covers the training for you and the other users.
Accessible Racing, Blackbaud and VXP driving simulator powered by iRacing is a turnkey package for little or no money out of pocket; just a couple phone calls for sponsorship.
ACCESSIBLE RACING can help you bring your three day racing event online, allowing individuals to easily create their own pages and email their friends to ask for support.
Blackbaud specializes in helping organizations bring their peer to peer fundraising events online and has helped run over 31,000 events for clients from December of 2000 to today.
They've raised over one billion dollars, coming from 14 million participants and over 25 million donors.
Blackbaud handles all of the donation processing; deposits will be made to Accessible Racing and distributed.
Utilizing a highly specialized software program that is the backbone of the 3 day walk for breast cancer, and 3 day bike ride for AIDS, ACCESSIBLE RACING raise awareness of this program in more then 15,000 outlets, as well as raise the funds to promote this exclusive program. Hanaford continues, "Return on Investment will be highly active membership, greater awareness to the available activities at The American Legion Halls across America, and donations for the competing teams. Individual and team competition allow one to easily create their own web pages and email friends to ask for support. This package includes the cost to design, launch and support the web pages. This also covers the training for other users. VXP The Next Generation powered by iRacing will act as a REAL LIFE VERSION of 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory'. This global network and shared activity is the GOLDEN TICKET to drive the World's FIRST 'Arrive & Drive'  stock car experience for disabled persons."

ACCESSIBLE RACING and the VXP THE NEXT GENERATION has one primary purpose and that is to reintegrate disabled vets and civilians, developing transferable work skills and memberships into a fraternal order that shares a common goal and objective. For some freedom, hope and inspiration may be driving the racecar, for others it may be driving to the corner store for a loaf of bread or picking the kids up from soccer practice, but for all it is serving a purpose in life!   Your organization can play an integral role in the lives of these young Americans returning from war with a disabling injury. We invite you to review the program, the schedule of events and discuss how we might partner with a purpose. Accessible Racing Board Member Kathy Chandler founded disabled skiing and knows the benefit of getting active Chandler is well respected in disabled services and shares a wealth of knowledge and experience that appeal to funding partners. This NEW relationship between NASCAR drivers that are popular household names and Skiing are two popular sports that are the focus of a 2012 fund raising event.

Accessible Racing is pleased with 2 nationally televised reports in 2011, and are preparing for an ACCESSIBLE RACING 2012 Collaborative Tour Across America.  Accessible Racing will promote the events, provide filming for media releases, marketing opportunities and content for blog, website and a variety of other uses as well as assist in the recruitment and administration of the online VXP powered by iRacing leagues. Additionally the personnel on hand at each event will be skilled spokespersons who will be briefed on the collaborative efforts of AR and the American Legion in order to properly promote the joint messages, discuss with the media present at each event and properly interview for use on television, radio, and social media. Diane Krause, WALL STADIUM, Track Manager is very excited to view the ACCESSIBLE RACING veterans day special on SPEED TV NASCAR hub feature November 10 @ 6PM. Krause said, "Thank you for choosing Wall Stadium Speedway for your Accessible Racing Program. It is an encouraging and inspiring program for the disabled as well as onlookers. We had positive feedback from drivers and fans that had the pleasure to observe the dedicated laps. So many drivers were asking about the program and would like to volunteer time if needed. It has been a pleasure working with you and hope to continue in the new and upcoming season."

I just wanted to say thank you for the group picture and that I would also like to get this story to the Wounded Warrior Project. I had an AWESOME time driving that car just to think that I wanted to be a race car driver. Thank you for making part of that come true.

Combat Vets & Accessible Racing making national headlines at Wall Stadium

Accessible Racing (AR) and VXP The Next Generation, driving simulator, are making huge strides for disabled Vets and civilians. AR & Savannah College of Art and Design are in discussions to reengineer and designing VXP to address therapeutic and gaming needs, most importantly developing virtual world driving skills that transition seamlessly to real worlds applications.
The standard gaming wheel with peddles can be purchased in most big box stores, VXP driving simulator is modified with hand controls for wheel chair users and other hand control drivers.

VXP The Next Generation serves a dual purpose. Benefits include therapeutic drivers education and gaming competition. AR and SCAD are discussing the process of developing a horizontal wheel for quadriplegics and joy stick for amputees.

Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce suggested Accessible Racing speak with a Veteran friendly business, that has written software programs for NAVY. The past 25 years every submariner has trained on software training simulators,  if their training works for submariners - we believe it will work for disabled persons transitioning skills to drive with hand controls. If it works for disabled....why wouldn't it work for able body and change the face of drivers education as it is known today?

Dave Baskin, Chairman of International Paralympic committee, founder and director of NRA Disabled Shooting Services and Board of Directors for Accessible Racing and VXP driving simulator is developing an on-line racing league that will operate in the same foot print as multi day events to raise money for AIDS bike ride and Breast Cancer walk. This on-line program will be marketed to 15,000 post in the United States and is not a regional event with moving cities like AIDS and Breast Cancer events. On line driving experience will feature individual web sites and  yield a higher % of donations to benefit the cause.  This is a solution to combat PTSD that is the main issue of combat Vets and caregivers are wrestling with that will no doubt build networks and shared activities that reach far beyond the speedway and athletic events. Show Time 4 disabled Vets

SHOW TIME when Accessible Racing and VXP driving simulator showcase cutting edge programs that develop virtual world driving skills & transition seamlessly to real world applications.

http://youtu.be/8_HtgIEUd84  explains the blue print at Thompson International Speedway on 9-11-12 and returns this weekend, Oct 14-16, to capture TV quality footage to be aired on Veterans Day.

Features will include NEWLY designed VXP driving simulator, a gaming wheel designed with hand controls instead of peddles, typically found on the shelf in big box store. Therapeutic benefits to recreational and occupational therapist develop virtual world driving skills that seamlessly transition to real world experience. This helps newly disabled still in the hospital realize there are alternatives to surrendering to board games the rest of their life, and inspires a lot more opportunities then they might have imagined.

In addition to a standard wheel for paraplegics, a horizontal wheel for quadriplegics and joy stick for amputees allow disabled persons the same opportunity currently available to able body gamers.

VXP Engineering, field test, field surveys,  working models, drawings and prototypes will be funded by external sources.

In addition, a leading software engineering company that has developed training programs for every Navy Submariner in the past 25 years has expressed interest in Accessible Racing vision to develop on-line drivers education for newly injured disabled persons to expedite the process of reintegrating into society. Hanaford believes, "if this works for disabled persons we will change the face of drivers education as its known today!"

AR as Promised

Accessible Racing National tour Goes Green at UNOH North South Showdown POST 9-11 report

Accessible Racing (AR) Commercial Model, Artist & Gamer, Miss Mariana Lee sponsor of #9 in the Nascar Whelen Modified tour  http://www.missmarianalee.net/ , discussing schedule, appearances and media benefits of interest in that will certainly open a few more marketing opportunities for both of us, and consider possibilities of family friendly calendars and other products in Big Box stores around the country.

AR Sales percentage of New  calendar  sales or other products, and distribution with potential retail outlets would bring awareness to great programs working together to grow beyond their individual capabilities. Accessible Racing, is exploring retail outlets;  beauty saloons, aftermarket automotive products, c-store chain or big box store. Promotional appearances at hospitals, trade shows, speedways and sporting events for disabled Vets & Civilians across America. Any business in any industry with any advertising budget is invited to join 9-11 journey that began at New Hampshire International Speedway on 9-11-01 when planes hit the towers. A lot has changed since that day: Driving Instructor Stub Fadden passed, EMT Tommy Blanchette was an EMT and brought the TV out to show us what was happening is now Director of Operations at New Hampshire, Bob Bahre sold the track and jury is out on rather or not Accessible Racing will ever go back to New Hampshire Speedway or remain at fan friendly tracks like White Mountain Motorsports Park and Thompson International Speedway. Its obvious to us their is no shortage of short tracks that 'Get It' Thunder Road in Barre VT,  Stafford Motor Speedway, Beach Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough Maine certainly come to mind.....
AR New England will capture short track film footage in NH Sept 23 - 24 and incorporate water skiing for disabled &/or more likely consider a return to Thompson International Speedway on Fri, Sat & Sun for the Oct 15, 16 & 17 the World Series. Accessible Racing powered by iRacing.com and VXP driving simulator help develop virtual world driving skills that seamlessly transition to real world applications. Future plans include development of virtual world driver educations for both disabled and able body drivers.
AR National involved in Hollywood / Movie, 8,000 mile journey to be released in 2012, begins in Boston and loops through select locations along the east coast on our way through the south- west and back through Americas heart land to the North East collecting additional feature footage of disabled Vets and civilians spreading message of freedom, hope and inspiration through a variety of entertainment venues that incorporate; VXP driving simulator, Accessible Racing in a real racecar at a real race track, water skiing, snow skiing, surfing and much - much more.

Tentative map of cross country route http://endlessabilities.org/map.htmll  - This is going to go up on all social media outlets and we are going to take suggestions about where we should stop and what we should do. We are working on designing a curriculum to use in the rehab hospitals and this would be an obvious place to include accessible racing program powered by iRacing and VXP driving simulator. Most likely we will host a series of screenings along the way.

AR recognizes not every disabled Vet and civilians crave driving a racecar; some may simply wish to drive to the corner store for a loaf of bread or pick the kid up after soccer practice. But ALL desire freedom, hope and inspiration to regain a purpose and reintegrate into society. UNOH has been named a veteran friendly learning institution for the past 3 years, AR & UNOH agree they share a common goal.

Accessible Racing for Vets & Civilians attracts Global interest

  • SHARE YOUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE  AND THE RESULTING REDIRECTION IN YOUR PERSONAL LIFE
A car accident was a life changing experience for Accessible Racing President & co-founder Brian Hanaford. A Traumatic Brain Injury forced to adjust to life with physical disabilities, challenging beliefs and behaviors to over come barriers and discover fresh opportunities.
  • EXPLAIN HOW FULFILLING IT WAS TO DESIGN AND DEVELOP THE HANDICAP RACE CAR
Hanaford contacted Peter Ruprecht, President of Drive Master, oldest family owned mobility dealership in the country, and a founding father of National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association. A NASCAR was modified and the national attention from media and disabled persons was overwhelming. The first event drew persons from Alabama, Colorado, Montana, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and New Jersey.

  • TALK ABOUT HOW THAT EXPERIENCE LED YOU TO THE GAMING WORLD AND THE CHALLENGES THAT HANDICAPPED FACE WHEN TRYING TO ENJOY RACING/DRIVING GAMES THAT REQUIRE PEDALS
Dr. Sally Shoop, said "one key to improving safety is allowing drivers to exercise maneuvering in bad situations so they build up a muscle memory that can react automatically". Researchers said the simulator could pay off in added safety for all road vehicles. The target market, disabled community, is largely unemployed or under employed so AR  needed a qualifier to create equal opportunity. This led to the development of a gaming wheel with the same push/pull gas and break controls disabled persons employ in more then 1.3 million passengers vehicles that travel on the highway every day. VXP powered by iRacing.com software is a qualifier for hand control drivers to qualify based on performance and safety records. The Next Generation modifies off the shelf gaming wheel for persons who where unable to use standard games because they were unable to use the peddles.

  • EXPLAIN THAT YOUR VXP CONSOLE BRINGS THE EXCITEMENT OF DRIVING TO ANYONE WITHOUT THE USE OF THEIR LEGS.
Newly injured who are attuned to video games enjoy learning in virtual environments. VXP develops virtual world driving skills that transition seamlessly to real world applications, and have fun at the same time. VXP is a perfect adjunct to any Drivers Education or Rehabilitation program for persons with disabilities

  • EXPLAIN THAT VXP DRIVING SIMULATOR CONSOLES WERE MET WITH SUCH POSITIVE SUPPORT THAT YOU REALIZED THAT THE NEXT STEP WAS TO MASS PRODUCE THEM FOR HOSPITALS, REHAB CENTERS AND EVENTUALLY CONSUMERS.
VXP gaming wheel has been well received at Walter Read Hospital and Shriners Hospital for Children. Occupational Therapist & Disability Equipment Dealers and Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist generally agree that this is a worthwhile product, the market is far more demanding then 'build-one-sell-one' capabilities satisfy. Mass production for therapeutic use is the first step to making them available to global consumers. The cost to engineer, manufacture and market is in the neighborhood of $100,000 in order to meet consumer demands. Accessible Racing non profit in currently looking into a plan similar to the Girl Scout Cookie program because we all know the cookies are not FREE to the Girl Scouts and some one making the cookies has an exclusive market once a year. VXP for profit would ideally be the cookie maker, and Accessible Racing would be Girl Scout non profit organization with exclusive market & benefits.

  • THE ABSENCE OF AVAILABLE CAPITAL (ESPECIALLY IN THESE ECONOMIC TIMES) HAS SLOWED YOUR DREAM BUT NOT EXTINGUISHED IT.

Accessible Racing (AR) continues to build individual interest. However, at this stage of the game we realize that the disabled community needs to show their support more so then a corporation or foundation. AR has forged a partnership with the The ERA Card that offers consumer discounts on products used every day. Cause related shopping is becoming more popular in todays economy because consumers no longer have the luxury to donate money, but like the idea of point of purchase and product that is tied into a GREAT cause.

  • YOU ARE STILL ACTIVELY SEEKING VENTURE CAPITAL TO MAKE THIS PROJECT A REALITY.

We we will continue to develop one-on-one incentives. Accessible Racing discount cards are one way for cause related shoppers to donate to Accessible Racing and save money on every day consumer needs. Retail outlets and product vendors are needed for mass production of prototypes and pilot programs. AR has an "A" team assembled and results have been promising. Accessible Racing and VXP driving simulator are seeking additional funding to expand into every hospital in the country, and lower the cost for active disabled persons to purchase.

  • UNTIL THEN, YOU WILL CONTINUE TO REACH OUT TO THOSE WHO COULD USE SUCH A DEVICE BECAUSE OF THE POSITIVE RESULTS.
NJ Vintage Grand Prix was aired on FOX National News and featured  2 1/2 - 3 min video clips at 20 past the hour between 12 and 8 PM. We delivered to our sponsors on a national level, most importantly Texas Road House and NJ Department of Veteran And Military Affairs were impressed with Accessible Racing program that made a dream come true for veterans. Plans are underway to continue the momentum and expand regional events to national and global programs...

This should tie in nicely with the previous email message i sent you that talks more about fund raising

In this industry very few businesses let alone non-profits use PR agencies. AKA Media is a video production company, NOT a PR firm. .When they found out about Accessible Racing (AR) and the work that we are doing they decided to support us pro bono. AR is definitely doing what others said couldn't, shouldn't or wouldn't be possible. From the product conception to marketing and funding plan, we are trend setters that believe in achieving together what couldn't, shouldn't or wouldn't be accomplished individually.

It has injected our disabled veteran’s and civilians with hope and self confidence that had been missing for years, the caregivers in the veterans communities as well as shriners hospital see this as a solution.
Accessible Racing (AR) non profit organization help disabled persons  regain mobility and provide the education and rehabilitation for broken bodies to skillfully adapt to changing environments.

With ALL this being said, Accessible Racing strives to enhance independent living skills, mobility freedom and network a growing community of disabled shoppers with a voice that demands attention and justifies brand loyalty from products, services, and retail outlets that acknowledge wheel chair users as a portion of the market.
With prototypes complete for both Accessible Racing non-profit racecar and VXP driving simulator (for profit company) our work has just begun. AR strives for support from disabled community, care givers, family, friends and business contacts to show a need and demand for driver education.

AKA Media, Texas Road House, Borgata Casino and Sunoco have donated sponsorship & services needed to help lower the cost for individuals. We need to unify the disabled community to help us achieve together what we can not accomplish individually.

Individuals and corporations can support AR membership that offers discounts to cause related shoppers. A newly formed partnership with The ERA Card donates $15 dollars of every $20 dollar card purchased through Accessible Racing to benefit AR mission. The dual purpose is:

a.) Track membership and market support of social change with a systematic and unique program designed to network individuals and corporations to expand services
b.) Design and implement a financial marketing program that will establish cause related shopping to ALL individuals on every day products in order to further develop real world opportunities for quadriplegics and paraplegics.

Most are familiar with 3 day bike ride for AIDS and 3 day walk for Breast Cancer. AR ask Why not  a 3 day motorsports marathon that includes 3 different venues such as: Indy 500, World 600, and 24 hrs at Lemans  ? Global gaming event that operates in the same foot print Dan Pallotta established to benefit AIDS and Breast Cancer awareness & research, to benefit the growing disabled community.

This program would be available to gamers globally, in addition to a growing number of quadriplegics and paraplegics. One doesn't have to have AIDS or Breast Cancer to participate in multi day bike rides or walks to benefit the cause, Accessible Racing doesnt propose participants would need to be a para or quad to compete either, preliminary plans to incorporate the same individual web page to inspire participants to be part of a global effort to create on-line gaming access for disabled persons with VXP Gaming wheel.

Dan Pallotta's multi day events challenge people to make a difference and commit to fund raising of minimal amounts of $2,000 dollars. AR $1,000 entry suggest the same process with individual web pages and form letters to help persons raise the same amounts of money without concern of funding mobile city's of bedding, showers, first aide stations etc. This program will be easily activated from a home computer and gaming wheel to position VXP driving simulators in the disabled community, designed with a goal to reduce cost to participants and establish sustainability. So we propose a global network of competition, but first are disabled persons ready, willing and able to sign up for a $20 membership card? or take the challenge of a multi day motorsports event to earn a VXP driving simulator to measure up against global hand control drivers?

"The benefit of the simulator is that it shows how to use adaptive equipment in real-time, giving the user the experience of what they are going to need in real life to drive a car," said Nancy Ruscio, a physical therapy assistant at Shriners hospital.

ACCESSIBLE RACING, The original stock car driving experience with NASCAR style race cars modified with hand-controls for brakes and gas, with variable resistance steering and brakes.  The bodies are modified including the roll-cage along with a special transfer seat base to allow people with disabilities to easily enter and exit the race car. There are two (2) ways that people with disabilities will be able to experience the thrill and excitement of the driving experience:

First:  As a Driver - Persons will have the opportunity to actually drive the car with a professional driver along side in the car giving encouragement and tips on negotiating the road course.  There is also a secondary braking system for the passenger just in case things get out of hand.

Second:  As a Passenger -  For those who are not capable of driving or just are not ready to jump into driving a more then 400 hp plus race car, will be able to go for a ride in the car with a professional driver.

Hanaford will never forget September 11, 2001. We were at the New Hampshire International Speedway doing a stock car driving experience to raise funds for the U.S. Army Family Redlines Group.
Peter Ruprecht co-founded Accessible (AR) Racing, 501 (C)(3) non profit organization in Fairfield, N.J., dedicated to bringing adaptive racing to people with disabilities.
As a nonprofit organization, AR provides  the only NASCAR-style race car modified for wheelchair users, and features an accessible driver's door that opens to 90 degrees. The car also includes specialty features such as dual seats, low resistant steering, hand control brakes and gas pedals, and an instructor's side brake and steering for safety.
VXP driving simulator is engineered b Lee Perry and powered by iRacing.com software. iRacing features real-time, Internet based simulated racing competition for newly injured and active disabled athletes, giving them the opportunity to hone driving skills, compete against other hand controlled drivers and emphasize multiple ladders of advancement. "The benefit of the simulator is that it shows how to use adaptive equipment in real-time, giving the user the experience of what they are going to need in real life to drive a car," said Nancy Ruscio, a physical therapy assistant at Shriners hospital.

Dave Baskin, Founder of the National Rifle Association Disabled Shooting Services, learned about us and had been thinking about all the soldiers coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan who are paralyzed, missing limbs and desperate for an uplifting experience.
Mobility freedom may be driving the racecar for some, for others it may be regaining the freedom to drive to the corner store for a loaf of bread or pick the kids up from soccer practice after work, but for ALL mobility is something purposeful that we would like to give back.  Please contact us to be part of this Memorial Day celebration and feel PROUD to support a GREAT cause, www.accessibleracing.com

Regional TV exposure from CBS Philly of VXP driving simulator competition between former NY Giants and Philadelphia Eagles demonstrated the same process Wounded Warriors are invited to participate in on NJVGP Wings and Wheels show. NJ Wounded Warrior, Ian James Brown, will chauffeur former Eagles, Giants and media attendees for some hot laps made possible by gracious marketing support from Texas Road House, Sunoco and Borgata Casino that help us achieve together what we could not accomplish individually.

So if we can’t make it to New Jersey for Memorial Day weekend, is there something we all can do to help?
TEXAS ROADHOUSE will link our web sites to cross promote both organizations and conduct a fund raiser Memorial Day weekend and throughout the month of June. Wounded Warrior Thank You kits & FREE Entree's will be distributed to ALL pre registered Wounded Warrior drivers that attempt to qualify on the VXP driving simulator powered by iRacing to drive the Accessible Racecar. Andy Armadillo will hand at kid FREE meals and toys throughout the weekend. Partnerships with managing partners and corporate office throughout the year are being considered at 'print deadline, in addition to 'Bounce Back' from home office to use throughout the USA

SUNOCO has the utmost respect for these brave men and women and the worst thing we can do as a society is forget about them when they come home, especially the ones who are injured. We need to help provide the skills so they can get back as much normality as possible. These kids are special. They’re a benefit to our society so providing them with the basic skills, like driving, is important so they can live a healthy and happy life.

GARECEWORKS PRODUCTION AND AKA MEDIA are capturing the video shots to be seen around the world and distributed to local media outlets and national affiliates.
