        Driver Education and Training Program:

1.    The adapted race car with safety features was developed in (2007) and has been used for multiple events to allow persons with disabilities the therapeutic benefit of racecar driving. The racecar is modified with removable door skin, structurally approved roll cage that opens like a car door and swivel seat for easy transfer in and out of racecar, in addition to different configurations of steering wheels that are interchangeable for different levels of disabilities, electronic and mechanical push/pull gas and brake, push button smart shift transmission and dual controls on instructors side for safety; dual steering, dual brake, dual gas

2.      Guided experience: Specialized educators guide participants through advanced level skills and introduce training vehicle, while implementing the Driver Skills Development Program found to reduce crash rates by fifty percent.

3.         Simulation: The VXP driving simulator is modified with the same hardware that is found in the racecar and passenger cars traveling on the highway today. Using software tested and proven in rehabilitation hospitals, VXP introduces basic skills needed to regain confidence in a controlled environment, making for a safer, easier transition to real-life driving

4.     Racing: Our signature component allows participants the opportunity to drive an adaptive stock car on a short track. This is truly a life changing event for the drivers.
