February 14th,
2014 - RACING FOR EDUCATION is delighted to announce their collaboration with Adaptive Motorsports and Wellness program.
Our vision is
“To help inspire students to excel through WANTING to LEARN”.
Our Purpose:
Is to
develop a nationally implemented program
- Uses a “racing sports” infused “learning by doing” project based STEAM
curriculum
- Inspires students
to learn about the sciences and arts through a racing infused curriculum
- Delivers meaningful change to public education in a whole new way
-
Brings the world of business into the world of education
- Creates technical skills and life skills competencies for students and
businesses
Our role is to act as a catalyst,
enabler, facilitator and influencer to make the Current State non- integrated,
non-synchronized education to work supply chain function as a Future State
seamless end-to-end value stream. A
student, in our view, is anyone wanting to learn something new, regardless of
ability, age, status or anything else”
SCOTT
STAUNTON – RACING FOR EDUCATION CEO
RFE is building a STEAM supporting curriculum
into school districts across the country offering project based, experiential
learning through a “racing sports infused curriculum” necessary to give a
student graduating from high school, community college or university,
meaningful and fulfilling employment, where the student will be productive
employees from the first day on the job due to their technical skills and life
skills.
In the delivery process, this also
develops the first “fully inclusive” high school racing program and for the
student, these skills will greatly enhance their CV, reputation and ability to
compete in the job market, giving them the best opportunity (in the eyes of a
prospective employer) in relation to competition from other students.
RFE also believes that the vision for
the Nations Veterans, encouraging each of them to secure residential stability
by achieving greater self-determination, and increasing job skills and income,
is closely connected to their approach.
“The RFE program is holistic and
generic and aimed at providing experiential learning for all students of all
ages and ability, which will equip them with the life skills and technical
skills required to be successful at job interview and in a career” says Scott.
Who went on to add “with life skills
such as self-motivation and self-discipline, our Vets would make great role
models for students and with their understanding of “standard operating
procedures” would find it easy to learn new technical skills such as teaching
and they bring with them life experiences and technical skills from their time
in the military profession, which is why we are exploring the possibilities of
including them in the development and delivery of the RFE supporting
curriculum”.
“Given the outcomes RFE and Adaptive Motorsports & Wellness are looking to achieve there is great synergy between our two organizations
and we are looking forward to their involvement in Texas in March and for many
years afterwards” said Brian Hanaford,
CEO Adaptive Motorsports & Wellness
